In a significant development, a judicial commission has absolved spiritual preacher Narayan Sakar Hari, popularly known as Bhole Baba, of alleged involvement in the devastating stampede in Hathras that resulted in 121 fatalities.

The three-member panel, chaired by justice (retired) Brijesh Kumar Shrivastav, thoroughly investigated the incident and reached the conclusion that Bhole Baba was not at fault.

Bhole Baba's lawyer, A P Singh, hailed the ruling as a triumph of religion and truth. He stated that over 1,100 affidavits were submitted during the investigation, and the report will likely be discussed in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly to improve event safety protocols.
