A video allegedly showing Zishan Akhtar, a fugitive involved in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, has sparked controversy. The clip, which has gained traction online, features Akhtar claiming support from Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti in escaping India, asserting he's now 'far away from Asia.'

Mumbai Police, however, are skeptical of Akhtar's claims, with an official stating on Friday that they believe he remains within Indian borders. Recent intelligence suggests Akhtar may have made extortion calls in Punjab as recently as last month.

As authorities scrutinize the video's authenticity, a Mumbai crime branch official remarked that the individual in the footage resembles Akhtar, but the recording might have been conducted domestically. Akhtar, a key suspect along with others like Shubham Lonkar in Siddique's case, was last seen in Uttarakhand before the crime.
