In the statement, North Korea refers to the U.S. along with its allied 'vassal forces' as a direct strategic threat, pointing to recent joint military drills and the U.S. military presence in South Korea as examples of provocation. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or DPRK, asserts its right to respond to these threats with its own strategic capabilities.

This comes as South Korea's defence ministry announced a recent joint air drill conducted with the U.S., featuring at least one B-1B strategic bomber. North Korea routinely disparages such drills as war rehearsals, while South Korea defends them as necessary defensive maneuvers.
