Additional District and Sessions Judge Arvind Kumar Yadav found the accused guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment, according to Government Counsel Sachin Kumar Jaiswal. The crime reportedly stemmed from Kajal's opposition to an alleged family affair.

Her cousin Suraj, who had been living with the family, was vital in unveiling the brutal act. He witnessed the aftermath of the incident and promptly reported it to authorities, leading to the recovery of the child's body.
