Six Arrests Pending in Shocking Bhiwandi Gangrape Case

Six individuals in Bhiwandi, Thane, are accused of gangraping a 22-year-old woman near a local school and inside a pickup van. Although charges have been filed under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the suspects remain at large. The victim sought police help after managing to escape the ordeal.

In a disturbing incident that has shocked Bhiwandi, Thane district, six individuals have been accused of gangraping a 22-year-old woman, authorities reported on Saturday.

The assault allegedly took place in the early hours of Thursday, both in a thicket near a school in Nagaon and later inside a pick-up van in Fatimanagar. The grim events unfolded when the victim received a distress call from her brother, leading her to the location where the accused allegedly beat her, her brother, and the autorickshaw driver who had ferried her.

Despite suffering these brutal attacks, the courageous survivor managed to escape and immediately sought aid from Bhiwandi taluka police station, which initiated a zero FIR that has since been transferred for further investigation. The suspects have been charged under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rape, gangrape, and associated offenses, though they remain at large as of now.
