Innovate with GoIStats: A Data Visualization Hackathon for Viksit Bharat

Participants will be challenged to create data-driven visualizations that can support evidence-based policymaking in India's journey towards Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), in collaboration with MyGov, is launching an exciting data visualization hackathon, "Innovate with GoIStats", centered around the theme "Data-Driven Insights for Viksit Bharat." This initiative aims to engage India's brightest students and researchers in harnessing official statistics to drive impactful policy insights.

The hackathon provides participants with a unique opportunity to explore and analyze vast datasets from the National Statistics Office (NSO), leveraging key reports and microdata, including:

• Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS)
• Household Consumer Expenditure Survey (HCES)
• Annual Survey of Industries (ASI)
• Consumer Price Index (CPI)
• Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
• Other critical economic and social datasets

Participants will be challenged to create data-driven visualizations that can support evidence-based policymaking in India's journey towards Viksit Bharat (Developed India). This event offers a hands-on learning experience, helping participants build strong analytical skills while working with official statistics.
