Intruder Shot Dead by BSF at Pathankot Border

In an early morning incident, a Pakistani intruder was fatally shot by Border Security Force (BSF) troops at the Pathankot international border in Punjab. The incident happened after the BSF noticed suspicious movements near the Border Outpost Tashpatan.

Despite clear warnings to stop, the intruder crossed over onto the Indian side. A spokesperson for the Jammu frontier BSF stated that the individual's identity is under assessment, and that a firm protest will be lodged with the Pakistan Rangers regarding this border breach.

The BSF is responsible for safeguarding the 553-kilometer India-Pakistan border in Punjab, maintaining constant vigilance against unlawful infiltrations.
