Dramatic End for Murder Accused in UP Police Encounter

Jitendra alias Jeetu, a murder accused with a Rs 1 lakh bounty, was killed in a police encounter in Meerut, UP. Wanted for a Ghaziabad murder and on the run after jumping parole, he was involved with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

In a dramatic turn of events, Jitendra alias Jeetu, an accused in multiple murder cases, met his end during a police encounter in Meerut's Mundali area. The operation unfolded early Wednesday, culminating in Jitendra's fatal injury, as confirmed by senior police officials.

Jitendra, hailing from Haryana's Jhajjar district, was a wanted criminal with a Rs 1 lakh bounty on his head for a murder committed in 2023 in Ghaziabad, UP. Despite a life sentence for a 2016 double murder, he had been released on parole this year, only to disappear and resume his criminal exploits.

According to Amitabh Yash, the additional director general of UP Police's Special Task Force, Jitendra linked up with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang while in prison. His activities with the gang continued post-parole until his run came to a decisive end in the recent encounter.
