The Chinese embassy in Belgium has not commented on the allegations. According to Le Soir, hackers associated with Chinese espionage allegedly exploited a vulnerability in an American cyber firm, compromising 10% of VSSE's email data. While classified information remained intact, nearly half of the Belgian intelligence service's personnel might have had their personal information compromised.

The federal prosecutor has refrained from confirming the specifics but noted it's premature to reveal any investigation outcomes. Belgian intelligence also withheld comments, deferring to the prosecutor's statement.
