Ichak Area Recovers Peace Post-Maha Shivratri Clash

Tensions in Hazaribag's Ichak area have subsided following a communal clash over religious flag and loudspeaker installations during Maha Shivratri. The area has returned to normalcy with shops reopening. Authorities have arrested three individuals and plan a peace meeting to maintain order.

The Ichak area in Hazaribag district is gradually returning to calm after a clash between two communities left several people injured on Wednesday. This unrest was sparked by disputes over the installation of religious flags and a loudspeaker during the Maha Shivratri celebrations.

On Thursday, life in Ichak appeared to be regaining normalcy with local shops and markets reopening, while authorities confirmed the peaceful status of the area. Three arrests have been made in connection with the incident, according to Santosh Kumar, officer-in-charge of the Ichak police station.

Sub-Divisional Officer of Hazaribag Sadar, R K Gupta, assured the media of a peaceful environment in the region. A peace community meeting has been scheduled to address the incident further, complemented by heightened security measures within the Ichak police jurisdiction.
