The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has disrupted a potential violent clash by arresting Vishal Lakra, a 23-year-old sharpshooter linked to the notorious Gogi-Ankesh Lakra gang. The operation took place in the Rohini area of Delhi, officials confirmed on Thursday.

Vishal Lakra, who police describe as a close associate of Ankesh Lakra, was apprehended on February 25. Authorities seized a pistol and two live cartridges during the arrest. Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime), Satish Kumar, noted that Lakra faces multiple charges under the Arms Act.

Further investigations revealed Vishal's deep ties with the Gogi-Lakra gang. He admitted his role as an active member, taking instructions to avenge the recent murder of his associate, Amit Lakra, by a rival gang. Vishal was tasked by Ankesh Lakra to arm himself and prepare for retaliation, according to police statements.
