The arrest of the third accused in the Koppal tourist rape case has been confirmed by Karnataka Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi. This development marks the complete apprehension of all three suspects involved in the highly publicized crime.

On March 6, a 27-year-old Israeli tourist and another woman were allegedly gang-raped while stargazing near Hampi. Minister Tangadagi assured the public that rigorous security measures for tourists would be enforced to avert such horrifying incidents in the future.

Police revealed that the third suspect had fled to Tamil Nadu but was successfully apprehended. Initially, three men approached the tourists and feigned interest in getting directions before robbing and attacking them. Tragically, one tourist from Odisha went missing and was later found dead.
