Punjab Police Ensures Holi Safety with Statewide Operations
The Punjab Police executed a statewide operation across 262 bus stands to ensure peaceful Holi celebrations. Led by DGP Gaurav Yadav, the operation involved 400 police parties and resulted in the checking of 3,868 individuals, registration of two criminal cases, and recovery of heroin.

The Punjab Police, in a bid to ensure peaceful Holi celebrations, carried out a comprehensive cordon and search operation across 262 bus stands throughout the state.
On the directions of DGP Gaurav Yadav, this state-level operation saw active participation from all 28 police districts, with heavy police deployment under the supervision of SP rank officers.
Special DGP Arpit Shukla led the effort, involving over 3,000 police personnel who managed to check 3,868 people, impound 14 vehicles, and register two criminal cases while recovering heroin.
