Authorities in Ballia district have launched a manhunt for a tuition teacher accused of raping a 10-year-old girl. The incident reportedly took place over the last 15 days in the Phephana police station area.
The alleged perpetrator has been identified as the girl's tuition teacher, who remains on the run. According to Ajay Kumar Tripathi, the station house officer of Phephana police station, the teacher engaged in obscene acts with the Class-4 student during her coaching classes.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, following a complaint by the victim's father. An intensive operation is underway to bring the suspect to justice.
