The Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust (LKMMT), operator of the renowned Lilavati Hospital, is embroiled in controversy following allegations of misappropriating over Rs 1,500 crore. Former trustees are alleged to have engaged in significant financial misconduct, revealed through a detailed forensic audit conducted by CDIMS and ADB and Associates.

The trust filed complaints with the Enforcement Directorate and the Bandra Police Station, accusing former trustees of malpractice, including black magic practices within the hospital premises. Based on the audit's findings, the trust pursued legal action, leading to multiple FIRs and an inquiry by the Economic Offences Wing.

Prashant Mehta, LKMMT's Permanent Resident Trustee, underscored the trust's commitment to integrity, emphasizing the allegations as a betrayal of public trust. He urged swift action from authorities, expressing determination to hold the accused accountable for the financial crimes and mystical practices reportedly identified.
