State Congress President Bhakta Charan Das criticized both state and central BJP governments for their inadequate support to farmers, suggesting a dire need for urgent intervention. He asserted that a task force will comprehensively assess the conditions in every block.
Kisan Congress leader Amiya Kumar Patnaik pointed to severe agricultural challenges, highlighting over 10,000 farmer suicides in recent decades due to financial woes. He urged for comprehensive reforms, including farm loan waivers and better financial aid.
