Delhi Police successfully apprehended nine individuals, including a Nigerian national and a minor, in a determined effort to dismantle illegal liquor and drug trafficking networks, said an official on Wednesday.

The apprehended individuals include Nigerian Oliver (46), Tuntun (23), Amit Singh (27), Sukhdev Shah (83), Avinash (34), Anil Kumar, alias Monu (37), Sunil Singh Tanwar (34), along with a minor and a woman, revealed the authorities.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer district, Sachin Sharma, confirmed that on the night spanning Tuesday to Wednesday, Tuntun was apprehended in the Ghevra industrial area, leading to the seizure of illicit liquor destined for Haryana. Additional raids in the area resulted in the recovery of 1,096 quarters of illicit liquor and 348 bottles of beer. Further arrests, including that of Oliver, led to the confiscation of cannabis, cocaine, amphetamine, heroin, and Tramadol across multiple operations from March 10 to March 11.
