In a bid to maintain harmony during overlapping celebrations of Holi and the second Friday of Ramzan, Zafar Ali, president of Sambhal Shahi Jama Masjid, announced that Jumma prayers on March 14 would start at 2.30 pm. This decision comes amidst tensions following last year's riots.
Painting and renovation of the mosque will begin Thursday, under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India, with the committee overseeing the process. Ali highlighted safety measures, including mosque coverings, praising the administration's efforts.
