In a recent address, Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar asserted that the executive, legislature, and judiciary should collaborate rather than confront each other, emphasizing the importance of checks and balances in governance.
Dhankhar's remarks in the Rajya Sabha came after a contentious mention of the National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC), which was previously nullified by the Supreme Court. The discussion follows the discovery of currency at Justice Yashwant Varma's residence.
A meeting convened by Dhankhar included prominent political leaders like Jagat Prakash Nadda and Mallikarjun Kharge. The session underscored mutual cooperation and pledged further discussions post party consultations to resolve the ongoing issues.
