The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, based in Lucknow, declared that a substantial recruitment drive is scheduled for April and May, with over 28,000 positions up for grabs, as per an official announcement made on Thursday.
In March, the board completed recruiting more than 60,000 constables and over 1,400 radio personnel. This aligns with the state's initiative to streamline police recruitment and implement a structured hiring calendar. Over the past eight years, the Adityanath government has facilitated government jobs for nearly 850,000 individuals, including over 214,000 police department roles.
Notably, the recruitment board successfully filled 214,468 positions across various UP Police ranks in the past eight years, comprising both male and female officers. The new drive will focus on various roles, including Sub-Inspector and Constable positions, with applications starting in late April or early May 2025.
