Retired Major General Vinayak Saini Takes Helm of Punjab PSC
Major General Vinayak Saini (retired) was sworn in as the chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria administered the oath at Punjab Raj Bhavan, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in attendance, promising transparent candidate selection.

In a notable ceremony held at the Punjab Raj Bhavan, retired Major General Vinayak Saini was sworn in as the new chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Governor Gulab Chand Kataria administered the oath while Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann observed the proceedings.
As part of the event, Chief Secretary K A P Sinha conducted the proceedings. In his congratulations to Saini, Chief Minister Mann pledged full support for his role in ensuring a transparent selection process for candidates in various posts.
Major General Saini, who hails from Hoshiarpur and resides in Mohali, retired from the Indian Army in October of the previous year. He was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers in December 1987 and brings decades of military experience to his new role.
