U.S. Envoy's Key Briefing on Gaza and Regional Dynamics

U.S. President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, will provide an informal briefing to members of the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday, concentrating on Gaza and other regional matters, an administration source disclosed.

This briefing will occur at the U.S. mission to the United Nations, with all 15 council members invited. It is set to focus on U.S. policy toward the conflict in Gaza and impending nuclear discussions with Iran. Witkoff is anticipated to spotlight a new aid mechanism developed by the United States and Israel, according to Axios.

European leaders and aid organizations have sharply criticized the limited details disclosed by Israel about the mechanism, and the country's plans to manage humanitarian aid distribution via private enterprises. Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed an escalated offensive against Hamas, after security cabinet endorsements possibly involving the Gaza Strip's takeover and aid control.
