Unseasonal rains coupled with intense winds have wreaked havoc in Palghar district, severely damaging boats, nets, and homes, as local MP Hemant Savara advocates for better compensation.
The existing framework for compensation falls short according to Savara, who has appealed to state authorities for a specialized aid package similar to the one post-Cyclone Tauktae.
The storm tragically claimed the life of Moreshwar Lohar and caused substantial losses to property and livelihoods, prompting immediate governmental surveys of the impacted regions.
