Sikkim Police Crack Down on Major Drug Trafficker in Siliguri
Sikkim Police have arrested Suvijan Subba, the prime accused in a major drug trafficking racket, from Siliguri, West Bengal. Subba, a resident of Chisopani in Jorethang, was supplying drugs to Sikkim and had been booked multiple times under the Sikkim Anti-Drugs Act. Authorities are now dismantling his trafficking network.

Sikkim Police made a significant breakthrough by arresting Suvijan Subba, the key figure in a drug trafficking operation, from Siliguri, West Bengal. The arrest was announced by Senior Superintendent of Police Karma Gyamtso Bhutia of Namchi district during a press briefing.
Subba, aged 33, was apprehended in the early hours at his residence in Gosaipur, Bagdogra, as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug supply into Sikkim. Having been implicated in drug-related offenses multiple times, he managed a network that fed 80% of the narcotics into the region.
Authorities are intensifying their efforts, with 20 suspected aides of Subba identified and further arrests underway. The financial assets linked to the accused have been frozen, signaling a strong stance against organized crime in the area.
