The Border Security Force (BSF) announced on Friday that it successfully foiled an infiltration attempt from across the India-Pakistan International Border in Jammu, killing at least seven terrorists and demolishing a Rangers post. The encounter commenced at around 11 pm on Thursday after a 'big group' of terrorists was spotted by the surveillance grid in the Samba district.

A BSF spokesperson disclosed that the infiltration attempt was supported by fire from the Pakistan Rangers post in Dhandhar. The BSF's intervention not only neutralized the threat by eliminating at least seven terrorists but also inflicted 'extensive' damage on the Dhandhar post.

Authorities speculate that more terrorists might have been neutralized during the operation. The BSF has released a thermal imager clip showing the firing and destruction of a bunker equipped with a heavy machine gun. Tensions are high amid current hostilities following the Pahalgam terrorist attack of April 22 and subsequent retaliatory actions by both India and Pakistan.
