Amidst rising tensions in the region, Andhra Pradesh's government is taking proactive measures to secure the safety of students stranded in Jammu & Kashmir. This follows the recent escalation in conflict after the Pahalgam terror attack, which prompted India to launch Operation Sindoor against terrorism in Pakistan and PoK.
The state's Human Resources Minister, Nara Lokesh, emphasized the coalition government's commitment to this cause, asserting that all necessary actions are being taken to protect these students. Lokesh highlighted the efforts of Nandyal MP B Shabari, who has been instrumental in coordinating with central agencies to facilitate the evacuation process.
Shabari has also reached out to Lav Aggarwal, the Andhra Pradesh resident commissioner in New Delhi, to ensure families are kept informed throughout the operation. Minister Lokesh assured anxious parents that student safety is being monitored closely, and comprehensive assistance is being extended.
