Nuh Police Nab Cyber Fraudster in School Fee Payment Scam

Nuh police have arrested Salim alias Salli, a cyber fraudster from Haryana, who scammed schools in Karnataka and Hyderabad by sending fake fee payment messages. The accused tricked school accountants into refunding excess payment amounts. A mobile phone and fake SIM card were recovered during his arrest.

Nuh police have successfully apprehended a cyber fraudster involved in a sophisticated scam targeting schools. Identified as Salim alias Salli, the accused was caught red-handed by law enforcement officials and found in possession of a mobile phone and a fake SIM card.

According to the Nuh police spokesperson, Krishan Kumar, Salim conducted internet searches to acquire contact information of school accountants in Karnataka and Hyderabad. He then sent them fraudulent payment confirmation messages, purportedly for school fees, and subsequently requested refunds, citing an accidental overpayment.

Salim managed to deceive multiple educational institutions and extract financial gains. Authorities took action following a complaint lodged on the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) portal, leading to his capture. Investigations are ongoing as police continue questioning the suspect.
