In a significant diplomatic move, India and Croatia have reaffirmed their joint commitment to tackling terrorism in all its forms. The two nations emphasized the importance of disrupting finance networks, eliminating safe havens, and swiftly bringing perpetrators to justice.
The joint statement, released after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Croatia, highlighted the shared economic potential, particularly in tourism, trade, and technology. It also addressed the tense security situation in the Middle East and the need for de-escalation between Israel and Iran.
Reiterating their zero-tolerance stance on terrorism, both sides pressed for comprehensive implementation of the UN Global Counterterrorism Strategy. They also discussed improving connectivity through the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor and emphasized the need for reforms in the UN Security Council to make it more representative and effective.
