Romil Vohra, a notorious criminal carrying a bounty of Rs 3 lakh, met a fatal end early Tuesday near the Delhi-Haryana border in a police encounter. Vohra was implicated in a series of gruesome crimes, including a triple murder in Haryana's Yamunanagar and a separate murder case in Kurukshetra.
Authorities revealed that Vohra was also wanted in an Arms Act case by Delhi Police's Special Cell. Officials noted his connection to gangster Virender Pratap, aka Kala Rana, recently extradited from Bangkok, and his brother Surya Pratap, residing overseas.
Based on precise intel from Haryana STF, a joint operation cornered Vohra near Kishangarh. The ensuing firefight injured two police officers, and Vohra sustained bullet wounds. He was declared dead at the hospital. His violent spree across Haryana has been a significant concern for law enforcement.
