Uttarakhand Monsoon Preparedness: Mock Drills for Emergency Response

Uttarakhand Police performed mock drills statewide to evaluate quick response team readiness for monsoon-related emergencies. The Uttarakhand Police, on Monday, carried out comprehensive mock drills across the state aimed at assessing the readiness of quick response teams and other security agencies to handle emergencies during the monsoon season.

These exercises were conducted in collaboration with agencies like SDRF, fire, and medical units, following instructions from Uttarakhand DGP Deepam Seth and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Ensuring public safety during natural disasters is of utmost importance, emphasized the press release from the state police headquarters.

The directive also included the deployment of Quick Response Teams (QRTs) armed with disaster management tools, and maintaining communication with residents in disaster-prone areas to guide them to safety effectively.
