The attack took place in Mapusa, as the boy waited for transport to school. He sustained 30% burns and is currently in stable condition at the hospital. The accused, hailing from Sindhudurg in Maharashtra, allegedly stole the acid from his workplace before carrying out the attack.
Law enforcement has charged the man under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Goa Children's Act. The case highlights the severe consequences of personal vendettas and the misuse of dangerous substances.
