The Russian Defence Ministry said on Friday its forces had successfully struck military targets in Kyiv overnight with high-precision long-range weapons, and that its troops had captured a village called Predtechyne in the eastern Donetsk region.

Russia said its strikes had targeted Ukrainian drone factories, a military airfield and an oil refinery.

Reuters could not independently verify the battlefield reports.
