Nitin Gupta, a former IRS officer, has taken over as Chairperson of the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA), signaling a fresh wave of governance within the entity.
Gupta, who previously led the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) from June 2022 to June 2024, is renowned for incorporating advanced tech solutions like artificial intelligence and data analytics to enhance regulatory compliance and business transparency.
Joining Gupta at NFRA are Smita Jhingran, P Daniel, and Sushil Kumar Jaiswal as full-time members, each bringing specialized expertise in auditing, vigilance, and financial oversight roles.
