Temple Theft Unraveled: The Capture of Monti

A 22-year-old man named Monti, allegedly involved in multiple temple thefts in East Delhi, was arrested. Identified through CCTV and criminal records, Monti confessed to crimes targeting temples for cash and items. The investigation continues to trace his accomplices involved in similar crimes.

An alleged temple thief, responsible for a spate of burglaries in East Delhi's sacred sites, has been detained. Monti, 22, was arrested following a detailed investigation by local police after a recent robbery report from Mayur Vihar Phase-3.

CCTV footage and criminal records were instrumental in pinpointing Monti as the prime suspect. Subsequent interrogation revealed that Monti, along with three others, specifically targeted temples, capitalizing on their perceived weaknesses in security and the lure of cash offerings.

Monti, who has previous criminal records of similar nature, admitted to conducting extensive recon missions. The gang bypassed security using iron rods or by scaling walls. Authorities are intensifying efforts to apprehend his accomplices, vowing to curb the rash of temple burglaries.
