In a significant crackdown on illegal encroachments, authorities in Indore have reclaimed government-controlled temple land valued at over Rs 150 crore. The land, associated with the Shri Ram and Khedaapati temple, had been occupied for years through fake and illegal sale deeds orchestrated by the land mafia.
The operation, which took place on Monday, saw the removal of unlawful constructions and the destruction of illegally sown crops across 1.28 lakh square feet. The municipal corporation played a crucial role in executing the demolition with precision and order.
Officials have stated that appropriate legal measures are being undertaken to hold the perpetrators accountable, emphasizing the government's commitment to preserving public and religious property.
