In a significant victory for Indian security forces, the alleged mastermind behind the Pahalgam terror attack was neutralized in an encounter on the outskirts of Srinagar. The operation saw elite para commandos kill three terrorists, bringing closure to the heinous attack that claimed 26 lives, including Lt Vinay Narwal.
Rajesh Narwal, father of the slain naval officer, expressed deep gratitude towards the Army, paramilitary, and Jammu and Kashmir Police. 'I salute their bravery and their unwavering commitment to protecting the nation,' he stated. Rajesh also condemned Pakistan's reported involvement, reaffirming his belief in the capability of Indian forces to deliver justice.
The surprise action, codenamed 'Operation Mahadev,' was initiated after technical surveillance detected the use of a satellite phone linked to the attackers. This decisive move, a part of a broader crackdown following 'Operation Sindoor,' underscores India's commitment to dismantling terror networks operating in and across its borders.
