A BJP worker was discovered deceased with significant head injuries early Wednesday morning near a water tank in Budaun district, Uttar Pradesh, according to police reports.
The deceased, identified as Suresh Chandra Gupta, 55, was allegedly murdered during the night while he slept at the water tank, as his son informed the authorities. His blood-stained body was located the following morning, police confirmed.
Gupta was part of the local BJP team in the Binawar locality, sources familiar with the matter disclosed. Senior Superintendent of Police Brijesh Singh detailed that forensic teams have meticulously examined the location and gathered necessary evidence. 'We have established two dedicated teams to probe this case, with the body sent for autopsy. Family statements are under review, and a formal complaint will prompt a case registration,' the senior officer remarked.
