Gangster's Son Nabbed for Forgery in Property Recovery Attempt
Umar Ansari, son of deceased gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari, has been arrested for allegedly submitting forged documents to reclaim his father's seized properties. The assets were confiscated under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters Act. His mother, Afshan Ansari, is being sought by authorities.

Umar Ansari, the son of the late Mukhtar Ansari, a gangster-turned-politician, was apprehended on Sunday. He is accused of presenting forged court documents in an attempt to retrieve his father's confiscated properties.
A statement from the Ghazipur Superintendent of Police detailed that the properties in question were seized under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters Act. The forged documents reportedly included false signatures from his mother, Afshan Ansari, who is currently at large.
A case has been registered at the Mohammadabad police station with charges based on various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Umar Ansari is under arrest, with ongoing investigations. His mother carries a reward of Rs 50,000 for information leading to her capture.
