A Pakistani intruder was apprehended in an injured state after the Border Security Force (BSF) troops opened fire when they detected movement along the International Border in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday.

The intruders were seen in the Hiranagar sector around 4 PM by vigilant BSF troops, who challenged them to halt at the Chandwan and Kothey border outposts. However, when the warnings were ignored, the BSF personnel were compelled to fire, injuring one individual among the group.

The injured intruder has been arrested and taken to a hospital, while authorities investigate his identity and purpose for crossing the border.
