The incident escalated when Kapil's vehicle was caught in a long line at the toll plaza. Kapil requested the toll plaza staff to expedite the process, which led to a heated argument. This altercation spiraled into a physical assault against the soldier.

The local police have swiftly taken action by registering a case based on a complaint from Kapil's family. Using CCTV footage, six individuals have been arrested, with ongoing efforts to apprehend other suspects. Meerut's Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rakesh Kumar Mishra confirmed the arrests.
