VA Tech Wabag has announced a significant repeat order from the Bahraini government, valued at approximately 5.12 million Bahraini dinars. This order pertains to the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the 40 MLD Madinat Salman Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and its Long Sea Outfall over a five-year period.
The company emphasized the prestige of this order, highlighting its potential to reinforce Wabag's O&M portfolio while ensuring steady annuity income, enhanced cash flows, and predictable revenue streams. Wabag GM - MENA RHQ, Srinivasan K, expressed pride in securing this commitment from the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning in Bahrain.
This development follows Wabag's initial award in October 2015, where they handled the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of the STP and Long Sea Outfall. The project reached completion in 2018, with Wabag maintaining operations since November of that year.
