Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, accompanied by several key ministers, set off for New Delhi on Tuesday to engage with the Home Ministry on pressing state issues.

State spokesperson C L John revealed that meetings are planned with officials after August 20. Discussions will cover pivotal topics such as the ongoing Naga political issue and the proposal for the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority, which offers autonomy to the state's six eastern districts.

The delegation will also address the Free Movement Regime along the Indo-Myanmar border, the re-imposition of the Protected Area Permit, and infrastructure projects like the Foothill Road. Upon their return, the Cabinet will conduct a Political Affairs Committee meeting to debrief state legislators.
