In the wake of a contentious Monsoon Session, the Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die on Thursday, with Speaker Om Birla voicing disappointment at the conduct of Opposition members.

The session, which commenced on July 21, faced continuous disruptions primarily due to demands for a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar.

Speaker Birla pointed out that the repeated interruptions prevented meaningful discussions, urging members to introspect on the lack of productivity during the month-long session.
