Two individuals are in custody following a successful operation by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing, which resulted in the seizure of 50 grams of MDMA. The arrests took place during an intervention in the Chaderghat area, officials announced on Thursday.
The bust involved the capture of a local drug peddler and a transporter hailing from Kerala. This transporter reportedly worked with an as-yet-unidentified foreign supplier to move the narcotics. The drugs were ordered online by the peddler and delivered from Bengaluru, facilitated by cash payments made through UPI transfers.
Authorities have registered a case under the NDPS Act. Meanwhile, the primary drug supplier remains at large and is believed to be residing in Bahrain. Follow-up operations are expected as investigators continue their pursuit based on gathered intelligence.
