Puducherry Extends Pooja Holidays, October 3 Declared Public Holiday
Puducherry's Lieutenant Governor K Kailashnathan has extended the Pooja holidays, declaring October 3 a public holiday. This extension affects state government offices, public sector undertakings, and educational institutions across the union territory. As compensation, these entities will operate on October 25.

The Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, K Kailashnathan, has officially extended the current Pooja holidays across the union territory.
Consequently, all state government offices, public sector undertakings, and educational institutions, including professional colleges, will remain closed on October 3. Under Secretary MV Hiran confirmed the announcement, stating the Lt. Governor's satisfaction with the extension.
In return for the additional holiday, October 25 has been designated as a working day for these entities, ensuring minimal disruption to regular operations in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam.
