The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) is set to request a meticulous investigation by the Kerala High Court into the gold plating activities at the Sabarimala temple, a process that spans from 1998 to 2025.

TDB President, PS Prasanth, revealed that the inquiry aims to understand the gold usage during this period, initiated by business magnate Vijay Mallya's donation in 1998. Prasanth stated the investigation would scrutinize both the quantity of gold used and the individuals involved.

Amidst allegations against sponsor Unnikrishnan Potty and contractor Smart Creations, the TDB emphasizes confidence in Smart Creations but acknowledges the need to inspect historical protocol and current proceedings. The TDB vigilance team, led by Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar V, will interrogate Potty, anticipating clarity on the matter.
