After a grueling 20-day search in the dense forests of Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district, army porter Unnot Taye has been rescued, local police confirmed.

Engaged on duty along the Panggo–Jorging foot track, Taye disappeared on September 20 while returning home. His absence sparked a coordinated effort involving multiple agencies, villagers, and non-governmental organizations, led by Tuting police station officer-in-charge Jumken Rina.

Despite harsh conditions, the search teams persisted, covering dense forests and steep terrains until Taye was found unconscious near Midak Camp. With immediate medical assistance provided on-site, Taye was subsequently transferred to hospitals for further treatment and on October 13, reunited with his family.
