Two foreign nationals have been apprehended for allegedly engaging in the illegal sale of MDMA crystals and cocaine valued at Rs 2.15 crore, according to police reports on Tuesday.
Law enforcement officials confiscated 490 grams of MDMA and 43 grams of cocaine during the arrests. The operation was initiated following a tip-off on October 8, alerting authorities to illicit narcotics sales in an open area of Mahalakshmi Layout.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered, resulting in a successful raid led by the police. During interrogation, one accused admitted to the illicit sales, implicating two other foreign nationals, including a woman, as accomplices. The woman has been detained, while efforts to capture the remaining suspect are ongoing.
