The impasse surrounding the autopsy of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar has ended as his family consented to the procedure, a police official announced on Wednesday.
This development occurred after Chandigarh Police approached the court to request that his family identify the body for post-mortem examination. The autopsy will soon occur at PGIMER, according to the official.
Kumar allegedly committed suicide on October 7. A legal notice was issued requiring his wife, Amneet P Kumar, to respond by October 15. Personnel changes in the Haryana police followed after Kumar's 'final note' named certain officers.
