Nigerian National Arrested for Mephedrone Possession in Maharashtra
A Nigerian national was arrested in Maharashtra's Palghar district for possession of mephedrone worth Rs 42.8 lakh. The arrest occurred during a police patrol near a cricket club in Nallasopara. The suspect, Kalu Bassey Chukwuemeka, was found with 214 grams of the banned substance and charged under the NDPS Act.

In a significant operation, Maharashtra's Palghar district police apprehended a Nigerian national on charges of drug possession. The Anti-Narcotics Cell unearthed mephedrone, valued at Rs 42.8 lakh, from the individual's possession.
The arrest took place during a routine patrol on October 11, when police personnel observed suspicious behavior near a Nallasopara cricket club. Upon confrontation, the individual was found carrying 214 grams of mephedrone, a synthetic stimulant.
Identified as Kalu Bassey Chukwuemeka, aged 45 and a resident of Pragati Nagar, the accused has been detained and charged under the NDPS Act, underscoring ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes.
